The Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius

“The best moments in reading are when you come across something — a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things — which you had thought special and particular to you. Now here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out and taken yours.”
― Alan Bennett,
“If you don’t know history, then you don’t know anything. You are a leaf that doesn’t know it is part of a tree. ”
― Michael Crichton
“The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.”
― George Orwell
The last conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius was January 7, 1405. That was 615 years ago.
This 19/20 year reoccurring transiting conjunction has overwhelmingly favoured happening in the signs of Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Pisces in the previous 1,000 years.
On the face of it, 1405 doesn’t seem like a tremendously significant year in history. The Irish had their first taste of home brewed whiskey that year. The cathedral of Bath was consecrated. The Last emperor of Byzantium / Constantinople was born: Constantine Palaiologus — February 8, 1405.
How are we to understand the confluence of astrological and earthly cycles? 1405 was one of the world’s great beginnings, births, and rebirths.
{Note to astrologers: try to forget the city of Toronto and 3:00pm. This chart is for general purposes only.}
Conjunctions are signifiers of beginnings. This is as true in your birth chart as it is in world events. World event changes are symbolized by the non–personal outer planets, and their aspects to each other. These are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
It’s wise to remember that the planets don’t do anything. By this I mean that a doorbell making a sound doesn’t open doors. A buzzing chiming doorbell signifies something is happening.
Signifiers surround us. Look at what car a person drives; this transmits a message, as does what clothes a person wears. As Frank Zappa said — we are all wearing uniforms.
Magritte’s pipe is not a pipe, as it sez on the title; This is not a pipe. Bird song does not cause Spring. Bird song is a herald of Spring.
Constantine Palaiologus was the last of 12 emperors named Constantine in the 1,123-year existence of The Eastern Roman Empire. This was a strictly Christian and thoroughly theocratic medieval empire. Do these times resemble our own?
I will write the phrase god and old white men 10,000 times here.
Why is all this important? Constantine’s Byzantium finally fell to the Turks in 1453. This was the beginning of the renaissance. We are still riding the wave of art, architecture, literature, science, exploration, and the flourishing of culture that began at that momentous era.
Constantine was born with this conjunction embedded in his birth chart. Jupiter conjunct Saturn also represents the death or end of the old king {Saturn}, and the reign of the new king {Jupiter}. These two planets in Aquarius symbolize a flowering of culture, science, and vision.
Conjunctions represent the concept of instinct. The sign in which the conjunction occurs reveals the nature of that instinct. Aquarius the water-bearer pours new life onto the parched earth thru innovation, a detached kindness, a flowering of care for the group, and often ingenious individuality.
A little known spark of the renaissance was the mass migration of Greek scholars from Constantinople to Italy. This began with the sack of Constantinople by the crusaders in 1204 and reached its peak in the fall of Constantinople in 1453.
“Although ideas from ancient Rome already enjoyed popularity with the scholars of the 14th century and their importance to the Renaissance was undeniable, the lessons of Greek learning brought by Byzantine intellectuals changed the course of humanism and the Renaissance itself.”

THE NEXT
An era is drawing to a close as we curse and trudge thru these difficult times toward the next flowering of Aquarian culture. Aquarius is sober, humane, and intelligent, among other virtues. The shadow side of Aquarius is dictatorial and overthrows the old tyranny only to replace it with the new tyranny. “Meet the new boss — same as the old boss.” {“Won’t Get Fooled Again” — Pete Townsend — June 1971}
The most likely scenario is that our new instruments produce a new science and invention in epidemiology, virology, hospitalization, diagnosis and quarantine. The WWW will go thru a rebirth toward curtailing misinformation. Many thousands of groups will meet only online, such as the 12 step groups.
As these two planets join and enter the beginning degrees of Aquarius the conjunction will encounter a massive square from Uranus in Taurus. This square is in effect all of 2021 and 2022. Squares are of the nature of Mars. Mars is war strife and murder and conflict.
This represents the old powers trying to destroy progress — the Daddy/Baby way of doing politics.
By this I mean giving away all power to old white men, who bottle-feed us sugary distractions {i.e. -food, movies, games, ridiculous conspiracy theories} and enrich their family and old corrupt kleptocrats. Life is painful isn’t it? Here suck on something sweet.
SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THE FUTURE Mr Zizis
As Trump closes down more protections of the environment and slashes food subsidies for starving children at home and abroad, Democrat Joe Biden will supplant him.
Biden will choose a black female VP as his running mate. Shortly after taking office, he will die probably of natural causes, and the new woman of colour will be president. She will be very forward thinking. This will be the new kinder and intelligent recovery times of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius.
She will run into more backlash from powerful racists and the NRA and Southerners who see the return of the Antichrist, after their hysteria about Obama being the original Antichrist.
And so it goes…
Next stop; Pluto in Aquarius …
