“I like” / “I don’t like” is as Roland Barthes would say — The foam on the beer. Our culture mistakes mere taste for discrimination. I don’t consider my opinion or the opinion of others sacred. We do have a new little god on on the block after 2,000 years. That is My Sacred Opinion. I do struggle to separate fact from opinion. If that’s of no interest to you that’s fine. I do honour what audience I create. It’s work. Carving a clear statement is work.
It’s an impoverished world that only allows agreement. We disagree on the clarity of a direct statement. The ‘ancient’ Greeks held STRIFE as a sure way to achieve the gifts of Thales, Aristotle, Ptolemy, Homer, Euripides and the myriad others who thought we should look clearly and takes sides.
